Individual therapy
I help people address such problems as depression, isolation, shame, low self-esteem, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and the effects of childhood abuse and neglect that result in complex PTSD.
My approach is to meet every person where they are, with deep compassion, curiosity, and acceptance. I am a devoted listener. I focus on what's getting in the way of people having more of what they want, and on what we can do about it together. In the process, I validate, stick up for, and help people bring forth feelings, desires, and younger parts of themselves that need to be heard and healed. I foster strengths, including self-compassion, self-care, innate wisdom, and courage. I hold pain and discomfort with particular gentleness. Clients find me approachable, warm, and non-judgmental. I bring both a deeply compassionate heart and a thoroughly analytical mind to the task of helping you. If you have any questions about my work, or if you'd like to talk with me about what you need help with, I'd be very happy to receive your call or e-mail. Warmly, Donna. 415.820.1541 |
